As part of the 90th-anniversary celebration of the Overton Park Shell, Fright-tober brings cinema to the lawn for a festive night under the stars. Families are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets to enjoy a spooky (but kid-friendly) movie on the big screen. The event often starts with live local music and includes food trucks selling seasonal treats like hot cider and kettle corn. It's a perfect way to experience the community spirit of Midtown Memphis during Halloween.
