1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Gatheroo, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

2. Platform Nature

Gatheroo operates as a marketplace platform. We connect event organizers with potential attendees by providing:

• Event creation and management tools
• Event discovery and browsing capabilities
• Payment processing facilitation (via third-party providers)
• Communication tools between organizers and attendees

We do not organize, host, or control events. Event organizers are independent third parties who use our platform to promote and manage their events.

3. Use License

Permission is granted to use Gatheroo for personal, family event planning purposes. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title.

You may not:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Share your account with others
• Scrape or automatically collect data from the platform

4. Event Organizer Responsibilities

As an event organizer, you are fully responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of all event information
• Honoring all tickets sold and commitments made
• Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and permits
• The safety and security of event attendees
• Handling refunds, cancellations, and attendee disputes
• Obtaining necessary insurance for your events
• Paying all applicable taxes on event revenue
• Delivering the event as described in your listing

You agree to indemnify and hold Gatheroo harmless from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from your events.

5. Attendee Responsibilities

As an event attendee, you acknowledge that:

• You are purchasing tickets directly from event organizers
• Gatheroo is not responsible for event quality or execution
• Refund policies are set by individual organizers, not Gatheroo
• You should contact event organizers directly for event-specific questions
• You attend events at your own risk
• You should verify event details before purchasing tickets

6. Payments and Refunds

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Platform fees (event listing fees) are non-refundable
• Ticket refunds are subject to the organizer's refund policy
• Payment disputes should be resolved between organizers and attendees
• Gatheroo may withhold payouts for fraudulent or suspicious activity

7. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you post. By posting content, you grant Gatheroo a license to display and promote your events.

8. Prohibited Content & Activities

You may not:

• Create fraudulent or misleading event listings
• Sell tickets you don't intend to honor
• Post content that is illegal, threatening, or harassing
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Post sexually explicit or inappropriate content for families
• Use the platform for spam or pyramid schemes
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create unsafe event experiences.

10. Limitation of Liability

Gatheroo's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for platform services in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Dispute Resolution

For event-related disputes: Contact the event organizer directly. Gatheroo is not a party to these disputes.

For platform-related disputes: Contact us at legal@gatheroo.fun. We encourage good faith resolution before any legal action.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via email.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
