Halloween Haunts at Wehr Nature Center

Perfect for families with children aged 4 to 10, this event takes guests on a guided hike through the woodlands of Whitnall Park. Along the trail, friendly costumed characters like owls and skunks perform short skits to explain the science and beauty of nighttime nature. The path is lit by over 300 hand-carved pumpkins, creating a magical atmosphere that is 'not-too-spooky' for younger visitors. The evening concludes with a visit to the 'Enchanted Forest' and opportunities for seasonal photos and educational fun.
