Gentex Grand Rapids Santa Parade

The historic Santa Parade has been a local staple since 1919, featuring over 50 entries including giant balloons, spirited marching bands, and community floats. Moving to the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the parade winds through the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, culminating at Rosa Parks Circle. Following the parade, families gather for the official lighting of the city's Christmas tree. The evening includes appearances by local mascots, free treats, and a special letter-writing station for children to send messages to the North Pole via the USPS.
