The Rockford Harvest Festival is one of the city's largest annual community celebrations, typically taking place over the last full weekend in September. The festival features a wide array of family-friendly activities including a classic car show, an antique tractor parade, and a community-wide chili cook-off. Children can participate in seasonal fun like building their own scarecrows, taking hayrides through town, and enjoying various carnival-style games. Local non-profits and artisans line the streets with food and crafts, making it a bustling hub of activity in the heart of downtown.
