Hawkfest at Lake Erie Metropark

Hawkfest is a signature two-day event held at the Lake Erie Metropark Marshlands Museum to coincide with the massive hawk migration over the Detroit River. The festival features live birds of prey presentations, including eagles, owls, and falcons, as well as educational speakers and local conservation vendors. Families can enjoy the 'Dance of the Eagle' performance by Reg Pettibone’s Native American Dance Troupe, as well as hands-on crafts, games, and guided hawk-watching sessions. While the park is in Brownstown, it serves as the primary regional recreation hub for the Rockwood community.
