PetSmart hosts in-store adoption events in collaboration with local foster groups and animal shelters around Southfield. Shoppers can meet rescued kittens, cats, and canines currently looking for permanent homes. Staff and rescue advocates provide guidance on proper care supplies, transitioning pets into a new home, and completing adoption applications. Approved families often have the opportunity to take their new companions home the same day.
