Calhoun County Animal Center invites volunteers and local animal lovers to help enrich the lives of shelter canines during their open walking sessions. Participants receive a brief safety orientation before taking adoptable pups out on trail walks around the Union Street facility grounds. It provides essential mental stimulation and exercise for shelter animals while helping them practice social leash manners. Anyone interested should bring a valid photo ID to complete a quick volunteer waiver on site.
